The Alaska State Fair

We went to the State Fair with our wonderful friends, the Andersons. It was Two Dollar Day! Of course when you add in the face painting ($5) and the pony ($6) and the tickets for the rides ($12)... I don't see how anyone could go for full price. It was still fun. We got to see all the animals and Scott decided we need to get a goat. It was a pack goat, so he could hunt with it, plus the milk... blah blah... whatever... Just do it! It will be interesting.

They had this spot for kids where you can test your Flexibility, How long can you hold onto the bar, How high can you jump, how fast are you in a wheel chair..... learning about your body type tent. I think Scott and Matt had more fun than any of the kids. The created a line behind every booth there. It was cute. There was a show for kids too. A farmer thing with talking veggies and the actors squirting you with squirt guns. It was cute and taught about the Matanuska Valley and Farming. It was very interactive and the audience was screaming or clapping the whole time. All the kids hated it, but Tyton. He clapped and yelled with everyone. He watched the actors with Aww. Aurora got to go on stage and help "pick weeds" (Ping pong balls out of bigger balls) She had to wear a corn hat, she was scared, but with Daddy there she had fun.

Aurora and her friend Maddy had the most fun of anyone. They got face painting and Aurora rode a pony. All the kids loved the petting zoo. She sat on Scott shoulder to wait her turn to get saddled in and started dancing to the Fair music. then when she got comfy in the saddle she danced around too. It was cute. We got to the fair around 12 and Tyton fell asleep at 5. He slept the whole way home, then through the night until 9 am. Then he had a nap around 12 and slept till 4 and he still we to bed at his normal hour. Both kids were exhausted. Something about the air at the Fair! I want to put some in jars and save it for later!
