A Sunny, A Snowy Day

So the kids and I had a great Monday! They were good at the Post Office so they got to pick out movies at the video store, they were great there so the got Root Beer at Sam's, they were good there so I took them to the Airplane Museum! It was a gorgeous day. They ran all around the planes. I think they just thought it was cool they could get so close.

Tuesday was a different story. The day was great. We got Tyton's shots, we returned the movies, we checked Scott's Prairie Dog Traps, and got Ice Cream to make Tyton's boo boo shot spot feel better. Around 4 it started winding and by 5 we were on base getting groceries. Luckily! As we entered the store the wind and snow suddenly flared up. By the time we left it was getting hard to see. Long story short... It snowed all night. Not much, but with the crazy wind.... Well. Take a look at the pictures below. Scott was supposed to work Wednesday, but there are burms 10 feet going across the roads in places. The guys at the station are work 3 days straight! The whole front of our neighbors house is completely buried. Our house is in a perfect location that we don't get any drifts. We can't get any of out doors open cause of ice, but our garage does! We are hoping that in a few hours the plows will have done some of the roads so that those of us with 4 wheel drive can think about leaving! I LOVE MY SUBURBAN!!! Totally worth the gas!

On a happy note.. being stuck in the house for two days has given us time to organize our house! Those of you coming to stay for the holidays will enjoy a very organized room to sleep in. Just remember to bring warm clothing and a book if we get stuck in the house!
